Originally from India, Jaya has had a thirst for knowledge, and achieved a master’s degree in physics and a bachelor’s degree in education. She worked as a secondary school teacher in India before deciding that office administration was her chosen path. She spent time gaining some experience in this field before moving to New Zealand in 2015.
She was accepted at the Auckland Institute of Studies and enrolled in a master’s degree in Business Administration. This knowledge coupled with her other qualifications has provided her with a valuable skill base. She is highly organised, dedicated, and willing to learn new skills.
She is currently residing in Auckland with her husband and two children. When she gets the time, she enjoys spending time in the garden, listening to music, reading books, and travelling.
Pip studied at Massey University and has a Bachelor of Design Degree (Majoring in Industrial Design). She has worked as a product development engineer for over 6 years and was running the product development department for a major firm.
During her time there, she developed some very important project management skills, where she managed products from concept through to production. This included engaging with overseas manufacturers and collaborating with marketing and sales departments to ensure successful launches of brands and products.
These project management skills stand her in good stead in her role with BWA Insolvency as an Insolvency Manager. We put these skills to good use out in the field as she acts as a liaison between our clients and those of us here in the office to bring about a good result for our customers.
In her spare time Pip likes to work with her hands designing and creating jewellery or working outside in her garden.
She likes to keep active by regularly attending the gym, and she is an avid Hockey player during the winter months.
